Grimsby Town boss had no complaints with Shaun Pearson's booking

PAUL Hurst had no complaints with Shaun Pearson's booking against Gateshead - even though it ended the centre-half's season. Pearson was shown his 15th booking of the season in the play-off semi-final with the Heed, meaning he will miss the next three games - including any potential Wembley final. But while Hurst didn't argue against referee Chris Kavanagh's decision, he felt some of Gary Mills' players got away with similar indiscretions. He said: "Shaun did well last night but he got the booking and that's his season over now, which is massively disappointing for him and us. "I'm not saying it wasn't a booking but their lad Curtis got away with a couple and one in particular when Lenny (John-Lewis) turned and was looking to shoot, so to me, it should have been the same punishment. "John Oster also crudely brought Alex Rodman down, and it was as cynical as you get and he doesn't even have a word with him. "But other than that, in general, I thought the referee did okay."
