FIRST HALF TIMELINE FROM KENILWORTH ROAD
14 mins – Luton could and perhaps should have gone ahead when Paul Benson heads wide at the far post after a deep corner.
17 mins – Jonathan Smith fires Luton's first shot on target straight at McKeown.
24 mins – Shaun Pearson stoops to clear a superb ball into the box but his header falls to Benson, who thunders a volley just wide of McKeown's top corner.
32 mins – The impressive Guttridge drags wide after firing over minutes before. A minute later, Rodman fires over from a free-kick.
38 mins – Disley pulls his shot wide after the ball breaks to him in midfield. At the other end, Howells headed over under pressure from Bignot. Benson heads the corner straight at McKeown.
40 mins – Luton continue to pile on the pressure but cannot force McKeown into serious action as Benson heads wide again from eight yards out.
45+1 mins – A rare foray forward from Town ends with McLaughlin's shot being blocked and Rodman's floating a cross out of play when well postioned.
45+2 mins – Shaun Pearson saves a certain goal. The ball runs through to Benson and the former Swindon man coolly lifts the ball over McKeown and towards the goal. However, Pearson slides in to head the ball away from off the line.
HALF TIME: Town clung on until half-time after something of a barrage from Luton, who were in control for most of the half.
SECOND HALF TIMELINE
51 mins: Town start brightly and Alex Rodman heads wide with the defender helping himself to a handful of the winger's shirt.
55 mins: Second half sub Jim Stevenson fires just wide from the edge of the box.
64 mins: A long free-kick from the impressive Goodall causes panic in the Luton and the hosts have to be alert to block first from Pearson and then Rodman as Town enjoy a good spell.
73 mins: The home crowd found their collective voice however and pulled their side out of their mini-slumber as Stevenson fired inches wide of McKeown's left-hand post.
80 mins: Hurst throws on Scott Neilson to replace Alex Rodman.
83 mins: After patient possession, Bignot bursts into the box and goes down but is made to settle for a penalty.
