A JAMES Bond actor has shaken and stirred residents after having a quiet drink or two in a local pub.
Hollywood star Daniel Craig – the main man in the latest Bond film Skyfall – visited The Wheatsheaf pub, in Louth.
The rumours of his presence in the area first began in July after it was thought he'd expressed an interest in buying the £12 million Dalby Hall Estate, in Spilsby.
Now the 1,051-acre country pile is sold subject to contract.
And the actor's recent visit to the historic Louth pub has fuelled the rumour once more.
Regulars at the pub on Westgate must have been in shock as the superstar walked in for a casual drink.
One customer, who did not wish not be named, said: "Daniel came in for a quiet drink, but I didn't recognise him because I haven't seen any of his films.
"So it's unfortunate I didn't know who he was, otherwise I would have taken more notice!"
A regular at The Wheatsheaf pub added: "I am gutted I wasn't there when Daniel was.
"I am such a big fan and it is typical it was one of the few nights I was out of town."
The Dalby Hall Estate includes an eight-bedroom Grade-II listed hall set in mature parkland with an estate office and coach house, a farmhouse, seven cottages, three farmyards, an established shoot, a trout lake and a private airstrip.
Richard Hardesty tweeted: "Interesting. Daniel Craig is rumoured to be buying a house in Lincolnshire, about 20 minutes south of me... #DalbyHall."
Louth has many celebrity connections. It's the home of West End star Barbara Dickson and musician Robert Wyatt.
And it is understood that a bodyguard to Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was brought up in the area.
The ex-Marine's parents apparently live in the town, and he came home to visit them just weeks ago.
