"DON'T give up the ghost already – we've had three games and only lost once!"
That's the rallying call from Grimsby Town accounts manager Steve Wraith ahead of Saturday's Conference clash with Alfreton at Blundell Park.
The Mariners have taken four points from their opening three matches, but Wraith fears that the pre-season feel-good factor around Blundell Park may already be evaporating.
"Everybody was up for it a few weeks ago; season ticket sales were superb and everyone was confident that we were going to have a fantastic season," he said.
"It would be very sad to see all that positivity disappear so soon.
"We've all got to give the lads a chance, and we're imploring the fans to come down again on Saturday.
"Judge them in a couple of weeks' time when we've played Alfreton and Nuneaton at home, and Hyde away in between – not after three matches."
