PAUL Hurst has moved to distance himself from speculation linking Grimsby Town with a move for York City striker Jamie Reed.
Speaking to the Telegraph, the joint boss said there was 'no possibility' of the management duo making a move for the 25-year-old, who has scored four goals in 15 appearances for the Minstermen this season.
Hurst said: "He's not a possibility. We spoke about him last year at some point, but at the moment that won't be happening.
"He's a striker who scores goals but there he seems to play second fiddle to Jason Walker. I don't envisage anything happening there."
