Cyclist killed on A18 named as Graeme Walton, 64, of Melton Ross

A 64-YEAR-old man killed in a road traffic accident over the weekend has today been named. Graeme Walton, of Melton Ross, near Barnetby in North Lincolnshire, died on Saturday after his push bike collided with a lorry on the A18, between Laceby and Barnoldby-le-Beck. Mr Walton was taken to hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver of the articulated goods vehicle, a 48-year-old Lincolnshire man – who has not yet been named - was uninjured but arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been released on police bail until the end of January. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contacts the Grimsby Roads Policing Team at Humberside Police on 101, quoting log number 230 of December 8, 2012.
