Police have confirmed they have launched an investigation after a large cannabis factory was discovered in Grimsby.
Emergency services had been called to a fire at a commercial premises in King Edward Street early this morning.
Firefighters broke down the door of one of the buildings to gain access.
Officials confirmed there had been a fire at one of the commercial premises.
Detectives at the scene later said a cannabis factory had been discovered and that enquiries were ongoing.
The fire service said it was called at 4.59am to a fire at a commercial building. Smoke was seen coming out of the property.
Fire crews forced entry and used breathing apparatus and two hose reels.
