An evacuation at Grimsby's Freshney Place shopping centre was a fire drill, it has been confirmed.
As reported, the centre was evacuated yesterday morning.
A spokesperson for Freshney Place said today; 'We can confirm that a planned fire evacuation drill took place at 9:45am on Tuesday, January 12.
"The centre has now re-opened and all staff members and customers are allowed to return to the centre.
"This is a drill procedure which we have to undertake to comply with health and safety fire regulations."
