Snowfall is being forecast for the Humber region today as temperatures continue to plummet.
Much of the region was hit by heavy showfall on Boxing Day evening, though the Grimsby area saw little of the white stuff.
But there were reports of scores of Grimsby Town fans being left stranded on their way back from the side's 1-0 victory at Macclesfield.
Leek, near the Peak District in Staffordshire, saw the worst of the snow with 10cm (4 in), the Met Office said, with Cranwell in Lincolnshire also seeing 7cm (2.75 in).
The Met Office said our region would be in for another cold day today (Saturday), with further snowfall spreading inland and a maximum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.
Tonight will see even colder weather, with temperatures dropping as low as -5.
