A call for Martin Hill, the leader of Lincolnshire County Council, to resign has been thrown out.
The authority's full meeting today saw a motion, proposed by Ukip councillor Victoria Ayling, pictured, the party's prospective parliamentary candidate for Great Grimsby, was rejected.
The motion was brought about by Ukip's belief that the authority held a "flawed consultation" over proposed library changes.
It also included a vote of no confidence in the council's executive, which was rejected.
It was launched by Ms Ayling and seconded by Councillor Robin Hunter-Clarke.
This summer the High Court quashed the council's decision to turn 30 libraries into volunteer-run hubs, cut hours, axe jobs and scrap mobile services to more than 100 villages.
