Immigration Enforcement performed a check in Grimsby this morning.
Shortly after 8am police were seen outside the rear entrance of a heavily padlocked building on Strand Street, near the corner with Freeman Street.
A spokesman at the scene said: "We received some information and made a visit this morning, it's all part of the crime work we do with the police.
"We checked things out, addressed everything and it all seems fine at this point."
A supporting statement from the Home Office said: "Immigration enforcement officers carried out an intelligence-led visit to an address on Freeman Street, Grimsby, this morning but no arrests were made."
A member of staff at Urban Juice creative design agency said: "I drove in this morning at 8.15 and saw about 8 policemen outside the building on the corner but I couldn't really tell what was going on.
"It was my colleague who then told me it was to do with Immigration."
