The police helicopter Oscar 99 was called to Grimsby this morning to search for a man who was reportedly seen with a Samurai sword.
Firearms officers and local officers were also sent to the Carnforth Crescent area at around 1.45am to assist with the search.
The man, who is in his 30s, was found at an address in the Crescent and arrested for possessing an offensive weapon.
The Oscar 99 Twitter account later tweeted: "Grimsby male with a samurai sword, located by Ho99, challenged by firearms teams and safely detained."
