A man who was arrested after 17 horses were discovered in the back of a lorry on the A18 has been released without charge.
Police officers stopped the "potentially suspicious" vehicle at the Forest Pines roundabout near Broughton at 10.46am yesterday.
The 33-year-old man was later interviewed and detectives were satisfied that no wrongdoing had taken place.
All 17 horses have been identified and none had been reported as missing or stolen. They were being transported by a professional company.
