The driver of a lorry that crashed through the central reservation on the A180 on Monday has been fined £1,000 for careless driving.
As reported, traffic was gridlocked throughout the morning until a lane reopened at 10am.
The delays were caused by a lorry crashing through a central reservation between junctions four and five eastbound.
A motorist stuck in the traffic described the delays as "absolute chaos".
There were tailbacks from the Barnetby Top roundabout in every direction, with traffic gridlocked on the A15 towards Hull.
Traffic flow was further affected by a broken down lorry at Melton Ross on the A18.
The Lithuanian lorry driver suffered no injuries, but had to pay a £1,000 fine along with £185 costs.
