ARMED police swarmed a house in Grimsby today, Sunday, following reports of a man with a gun.
Officers blocked a section of Sherwood Road between Welland Avenue and Watford Road at around 10.30am, while the man remained inside a property on the street with what is believed to have been a handgun.
A dog unit was deployed to the scene and soon after their arrival the man surrendered and was arrested.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the weapon was recovered.
