A Grimsby man has been found guilty at Grimsby Crown court in connection with an attack at The Grimsby Islamic Cultural Centre in May.
Daniel Cressey, 25, of New Holland was today found guilty of aiding and abetting his cousin Stuart Harness and Gavin Humphries in attacking the Weelsby Road mosque, following a three day trial. He has been remanded in custody.
The incident took place on May 26, four days after the death of drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich in what has been described as an Islamic terrorist attack.
Cressey was arrested by police in June and charged but he denied the offence.
Harness, 34, and Humphries, 37, both of Dixon Avenue, Grimsby were arrested on May 26 and both were also charged with one count of arson with intent to endanger life.
They appeared at Grimsby Crown Court on May 28 and pleaded guilty. They were both remanded in custody.
