FIRE crews were called to Scunthorpe's Tata Steel plant after a fire in the early hours of this morning.
The incident took place in the turbine hall of the site's power station at around 2am.
Three people were taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital after suffering 'radiated' burns.
At the height of the fire, six appliances were called to the scene.
Fire crews have now left the plant.
A Tata Steel spokesman said: "Tata Steel can confirm that there was a fire at 0200 hours on the Scunthorpe site.
"Three employees suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.
"They were all released following treatment.
"A full investigation has been launched and there has been no loss of production."
Yesterday, a gas leak was reported at the Tata site, although there is no indication the two incidents are linked.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
