THERE is a heavy police presence in Scunthorpe as the build-up to tonight's FA Cup replay against Grimsby Town begins.
One town centre pub, The Tavern, is closed - and others are thought to have also shut for the evening in an attempt to keep the risk of violence to a minimum.
Extra officers have been drafted in to police the streets and stadium, and an extra 25 British Transport Police officers will be on hand to escort fans from the station to Glanford Park.

Our reporters and photographers are reporting that so far in the town centre, it's very quiet, even on the roads.
Mark Taylor from Wybers Wood is there with his son Alex,12.
Alex plays for Grimsby Town under 12s team. He said: I have always been into football and I enjoy playing, especially winning.
Mark said: I am looking forward to the match and I think we will win 1-0. I am a season ticket holder and have always been a big fan.
Mike Douglas from Immingham was also looking forward to the match. He said: I am a big supporter and have been a season ticket holder since the 80s. I always go to away games because it is even more important to support them.
I'm not sure what the score will be be because I never do predictions. I have lost so much money from over the years putting bets on and losing!
I thought town played great during the last match and I'm hoping we will get one over on Scunthorpe tonight.
Stephen woods, from Cleethorpes hopes town will win even though they are away. He said: "I have been following them since the 70s at the age of 10. I used to go ballroom dancing but then got bored of that and got into football.
Group of fans Shaun Osborne, Scott Barber, Danny Laursen and Luke Turrell were looking forward to a good match.
Danny said: "I think it will be 3-1 to town. The last match they played really well and we should have won.
I have always been a fan and even had the team visit me during the 90s for the Big Breakfast show on TV.
Rob Salt, 39, of Healing said it will be a close game. He said: "I think it will be 1-0 to town. I love how unpredictable football is! I have been a fan for 25 years."
Richard and Susan Dodd from Fotherby follow town everywhere they play. Susan said: "I hope town will win and they will do if they play like they did last time. "They were excellent and gave it a jolly good go."
