GOALS from Craig Disley and Alex Rodman gave Grimsby Town a hard-earned 2-0 victory at Tamworth this afternoon.
The Mariners' best chance of the first half came in the 13th minute when Joe Colbeck played a one-two with Sam Hatton before crossing to the far post where Disley arrived too late to divert the ball home.
However, the skipper was in the right place to open the scoring after the break, tapping in from four yards following Scott Kerr's 51st-minute corner.
The hosts stepped up the pressure in search of an equaliser, but substitute Rodman made sure of the points six minutes from time after a fine counter-attack from the Mariners.
