AFTER beating dozens of fellow contestants, the winner of Lincolnshire's Got Talent has finally been crowned.
New Waltham teenager Laura Webster wowed the judges on the night of the final of the competition.
Performing Fly by Nicki Minaj and Maria McKee's Show Me Heaven, Laura blew the judges away with her powerful voice, superb vocals and unconventional rapping.
The 17-year-old said: "The competition was extremely fierce with some truly excellent performances so I am really honoured to become the winner.
"The atmosphere was brilliant at each venue and I would like to thank all my supporters for helping me achieve this award.
"Show Me Heaven went really well but it seemed to be the same sort of thing that everyone was doing and I wanted to stand out from the others.
"Fly really stood out. It was something I've never done before and everyone really liked it."
Laura, who is a keen Madonna fan, said: "I really didn't expect to win, but I was really shocked and chuffed that I did.
"It was an amazing night with a great atmosphere and I'm really glad I got to take part.
"I plan to buy some new equipment for gigging in the future and the rest will go on shoes and treating my mum to something nice.
"I'm planning to audition for The X Factor next year and I really hope to travel and sing in the future."
As well as first place, Laura won a £1,000 prize.
Head judge Hudson Lewis said: "Everyone was a winner that night, everyone was great, and it was fantastic to see so many talented people in our area.
"Laura stood out because she did something different and when she started rapping the crowd were on their feet, she really stood out to us.
"Laura has a bright future in the industry, they all do, no one was bad so it was really difficult to judge.
"Everyone had the chance to win but Laura brought something fresh and new to the competition and I hope we see more of that next year."
Fellow judge Kenny Gilmore added: "It was a fantastic night and everyone was really good; no one performed badly in the final.
"Laura really stood out. She did something different to everyone else and it was totally original.
"She got the crowd going and that's what we really wanted to see – someone who could put on a performance.
"It was great to see someone so young performing so well. She was in a different league and I think we are going to see more of Laura in the future."
