ROB Scott has backed Scott Neilson to prove himself as one of the best players in the Conference – once he's back to full fitness.
The winger has been putting in extra work in a bid to get back to his best after picking up a hernia that ruled him out of the tail-end of last season.
The joint boss admits that the 26-year-old is still not 100 per cent fit, but insists that once he is, Town will have one of the league's best at their disposal.
He said: "Scott is still a little way off and because there is a high turnover of games at the minute, it's difficult to do any extra work with him.
"He has managed to do some over the weekend though, and he'll be alright.
"We know Scott's obvious quality – when he's fit and flying, he's probably one of the best players in this league.
"What he needs to do is keep working hard and he'll soon get his chance."
