THE parents of Tetney X Factor star Ella Henderson have been rebailed by the police as a money-laundering investigation continues.
Sean and Michelle Henderson were arrested following a raid on their luxury home in the village in April.
Mr Henderson, 47, who is his daughter's manager, was detained in London by Metropolitan Police officers executing a warrant on behalf of Humberside Police.
He was then brought back to Grimsby and held in custody at Victoria Street police station.
Simultaneously, Mrs Henderson, 50, was arrested during the early-morning raid on their home by officers from the Humberside Force. She was released on bail a day later.
The couple were questioned in connection with money laundering offences.
Today, a Humberside Police spokeswoman confirmed that they were rebailed to a date in mid-October.
As reported, the raid, which focused on two properties in Thoresby Road, Tetney, prompted nationwide media interest.
Officers with dogs and an underwater search team combed the family's mansion home and a second home nearby, which was also owned by the Hendersons.
A number of filing cabinets and boxes were seized and removed. The police remained in the village for several hours, and they also searched a number of outbuildings.
Divers spent hours searching a waterway at the rear of the family's property.
On the day of the raid, Ella's brother Patrick told the Grimsby Telegraph: "All we are asking for is to make sure not to get anything out of proportion and try not to get carried away about something that has been ongoing for a while.
"We are co-operating with the police. She (Ella) has been an ambassador for this area. It could ruin the start of her early career."
He told how the family had been shocked when the police arrived at about 8am.
Meanwhile, career-wise, teenage singer Ella has been out of the spotlight. She last caused a stir in May, releasing a demo of her track Waiting online. It immediately provoked a positive reaction from fans around the globe – at one point she was a worldwide trend on Twitter.
She posted: "Waiting came about when I left The XFactor. I wanted to let you in on my own personal experience of being on the show.
"It represents how you never know what's around the corner."
Ella shot to fame last year in the live finals of the X Factor. Tipped as a winner, her exit in November came as shock to fans and music insiders.
She went on to sign a deal with Sony and is currently in the studio working on her first album.
