INVESTIGATIONS are today continuing into a car crash on the A18 which left two people seriously hurt. The man and woman were in a Seat Arosa when it skidded across the carriageway near Ludborough and into a ditch on Friday afternoon. The accident happened just days after a nine-year-old was left in a critical condition following a three-car smash on the notorious road. Currently, warning signs are in prominent locations on the A18 alerting motorists to the closure of the road, starting today, for maintenance work. Safety improvements to be carried out include clearing signs hidden by overgrown bushes and trees, redefining markings and filling in ruts at the side of the carriageway. And later in the summer, the stretch from Laceby to Ludborough will be governed by a 50mph speed limit, a reduction from 60mph.
