AN accident has reduced traffic to one lane on the A180 this morning.
The incident occurred westbound at the Westgate and Pyewipe roundabout.
Humberside Police are warning motorists to avoid the area. The Ford Focus left the road over the brow of the hill and ended up in a ditch next to the Coldwater factory at about 5.45am.
The 43-year-old driver, who is a local man was taken to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, by ambulance.
The extent of his injuries has yet to be revealed.
Traffic continued to flow but there were longer tailbacks than normal as police blocked the inside lane for the vehicle to be recovered.
