TALENTED juniors from Cleethorpes AC took part in two coveted area events last month, bringing home an impressive 35 medals.
Competing in the Humberside County Championships, in Hull, and the Lincolnshire County Championships, in Granthan, some young stars won as many as three prizes.
Then, on Bank Holiday Monday, Cleethorpes hosted their annual Open Track and Field meeting – at King George V Stadium in Grimsby.
With 212 individuals taking part – from clubs across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Humberside and as far away as Australia – this time, the home group won a total of 42 medals.
Indeed, many athletes scooped multiple prizes including; Rachel Bell, Charlotte Robinson, Darby Fytche, Patrick Atkin, Reece Precious, Heidi Bradley, Charlie Spencer, Amy Baxter and Casey Barber.
Cleethorpes also managed to enter eight relay teams, with many producing wins.
Once again, the club hosted the Victoria state team from Melbourne, who brought eight athletes to this year's event.
As always, the visitors produced some excellent performances at both of the County Championships and the Cleethorpes meeting.
