TO reply to "name and address supplied" (Telegraph, April 15), maybe I have been very lucky in my working life, but I must also add that I have always looked for my own work. Courses and job advisers are just a waste of time unless there is a job at the end of it.
It's no good relying on somebody to find you work, most employers expect you to do that yourself. They will not approach you.
Have you tried signing on with one or more agencies? Vacancies arise every day with the many industries in our area that rely on agency staff to fill them. Again, keep your options open.
If, after all this, maybe a job that starts at 12 and ends at 2 (with an hour for dinner) wouldn't suit you as it would mean going to work.
