RICHARD Brodie has been handed a trial at League One Hartlepool United after his loan deal with Grimsby Town was cut short.
The 25-year-old had his season-long loan deal with the Mariners ended by mutual consent last month.
Brodie, who is out of contract at parent club Crawley at the end of the season, has been training with Pool this week with a view to earning a deal.
