BUYING a stun gun on a stag night in Prague landed an Immingham father-of-two before Grimsby Magistrates Court.
Dean Salvador, 27, of Highfield Avenue, admitted possessing the weapon and possession of cannabis resin.
Nigel Sloane, mitigating, said Salvador, a sales specialist in the construction industry, had bought the gun during the stag night four years previously, but had never fired it.
There was no suggestion he had put anyone in danger.
The case presented to court did not go into any further details, such as the circumstances as to how the stun gun was found.
District Judge Andrew Pascoe ordered Salvador to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £85 costs, with a £60 Government-imposed victims' surcharge.
