Traffic was brought to a standstill on the westbound A180 this morning following an accident.
The carriageway was blocked near the Pyewipe roundabout leading to tailbacks as far as Riby Square.
One lane was opened following the incident to allow traffic to move.
Both lanes re-opened by mid-morning.
