I WROTE to the government about criminals jumping on the whiplash bandwagon and causing millions of pounds worth of claims that insurance companies are paying out, making young people unable to afford to start their working lives.
Also, there are insurance firms that fit a black box that can save a motorist between 30 per cent and 70 per cent on premiums if they are very, very good drivers.
If the drivers are really bad they could become uninsurable and off the road as the black box would prove it beyond doubt. This would bring a vast cut in costs.
