GRIMSBY'S Textiles Direct store in Top Town is among 53 shops which have gone into administration.
A total of five staff at the Flottergate Mall store which supplies bedding, curtains and home furnishings, face losing their jobs.
Manager Ray Smith said staff were told in a phone call the firm had gone into administration and a buyer was being sought.
The move was due to "financial difficulties", and the firm employs around 350 nationally he said.
Mr Smith said: "The shop remains open for business until we find out what is going to happen."
