I HAVE to agree with Geoff Ford about so-called child poverty.
There are very few families that are in true poverty unless the meaning of the word has changed. A bit like the meaning of the word "marriage".
Unfortunately true poverty is often due to the lack of understanding of how to obtain help and also how to work within a budget.
With the changes in April on housing benefit there is talk of more families suffering.
There has been a lot of discussion about this on the television this week and one interview, in particular, stays in my mind.
A woman said she shouldn't have to move as she had just spent a fortune on walk-in wardrobes and expensive wallpaper around the house.
If she has a fortune to spend on expensive wallpaper, should she be getting housing benefit?
And as for flying lessons, don't get me started.
