Fan's view by GTFC supporter Christopher Stephenson

What a season Grimsby Town are having so far. It's season number three in non-league football and it seems the team is doing everything possible to make sure it's third time lucky in their attempts for a football league return.
The Mariners are sitting three points clear at the top of the league with over half the season gone and with no sign of a dip in form, the buzz of excitement that seems to have deserted Blundell Park over the last decade is finally back.
Every win brings with it cries of 'we are top of the league' and with an FA Trophy semi-final against Dartford the only thing standing between Town and Wembley, dreams of a repeat '98 season are still well and truly alive.
The fans have every reason to believe that this is their year. Grimsby Town are undefeated in the league since the 3-2 loss at Hyde in November and with the quality of performances and results in recent times, that form looks set to continue. Our next opponents are Telford, a team two points from safety in the relegation zone and having played five games more than some other teams around them.
They lost their last game 2-1 against Cambridge and haven't won for a long time.
This has been a cracking season for the Mariners and statistics say this game should be an easy win.  Wrexham, Newport and Forest Green will all be in the back of our minds as any slip-ups from them will see Town extend their lead at the top.
If that happens, they move one step closer to being back where they belong, and hopefully, come the season's end, Town fans can finally call the Mariners 'mighty' again.
