A COCAINE gang turned to Grimsby when all their other outlets dried up, a court heard. Grimsby man Leslie Gray, 49, of Hope Street, Grimsby, conspired with the gang of 17 others to supply high-quality cocaine to drug users. He admitted his part and was locked up for eight years at Nottingham Crown Court today. Fellow members of the conspiracy were also jailed - for more than 100 years in total. The case was the result of a police operation codenamed Operation Latious, led by officers from the East Midlands. The men sold vast quantities of high purity cocaine on the streets of Lincolnshire between December 2010 and November 2011, the court heard. The prosecution told how the Lincolnshire based organised crime group, were extremely professional in the cutting , preparation and distribution of the cocaine onto the streets of Lincolnshire. They were originally handling large quantities of high purity cocaine from a drug dealer in London before finally turning to Leslie Gray in Grimsby in August 2011, after all other supply networks had closed down. The defendants were arrested during planned operations between September 2011 and May 2012.
