WOULD the council be making the right move in trying to find someone else to control Humberston Fitties?
Actually, the residents there should keep an open mind when pondering any reaction to this suggestion.
After all does any local authority have the expertise to run such a site? Not really the job of local government.
However it is the job of local government to operate and run facilities for the public and protect what rightfully should be 'public' – parks, open spaces and nature areas etc.
There raises the question over whether the Fitties should have some kind of protection from the forces of a private company!
*What do you think – is the Fitties an institution that should be gifted with some kind of public protection?
