REVENGE is the aim for Grimsby Borough as Nigel Fanthorpe and Steve Newby's recharged team prepare to gun for victory against Yorkshire Amateur.
The Wilderness Boys, after a week off, will go in search of their first win in four Northern Counties East League Division One games when they host Amateur at the Bradley Community Stadium tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
Mid-table Borough are looking to bounce back from a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Shirebrook, who scored all their goals in the space of a devastating six-minute spell.
Amateur, third from bottom in the table, have one win from their last eight league games. They were hammered 8-1 at home by AFC Emley in late November.
But the Yorkshire outfit visit North East Lincolnshire in search of a double over Borough, who they beat 3-1 at home in October.
Joint boss Fanthorpe said: "We're looking for a big three points tomorrow. It's a must really.
"They played really well against us on the night earlier this season.
"It's always difficult going there midweek as they have a lot of players to call on.
"We certainly owe them one," he added.
"We've got players back for tomorrow. We've really missed Andy Taylor, Luke Fanthorpe and Jim Archer.
"They are three players that are key to how we play, and we've missed them for a few weeks.
"Against Shirebrook we actually played reasonably well – it was just a mad six minutes that cost us.
"And they are a strong team, with a few players brought in from a higher level.
"But we were quite happy with the performance, although the goals in that six-minute spell killed the game."
Borough are also looking to sign a new goalkeeper in time for the match.
"That has been an Achilles' heel of ours – we've had a run of games without a regular keeper," said Fanthorpe.
"That hasn't helped defending set pieces and crosses, but we've also been missing chances at the other end.
"We should have been going into the break a goal up, especially against Shirebrook, and that changes the game.
"It's crucial that we take our chances to relieve pressure on the back four a bit."
Ahead of a busy festive period, with a derby clash against Cleethorpes scheduled for December 27, Fanthorpe wants Borough to be ruthless in search of victory tomorrow.
"The next few games could be touch-and-go with the weather, so we need that win tomorrow just to get on top of that second-half group in the table," he said.
"Then we'll be set up to have a bit of a go next year.
"There are no easy teams in the league, and tomorrow's game will be tough, but if you get the initiative and the goals from those early chances – then you can sometimes run away with games.
"But if you don't score, and it's nip and tuck until the final whistle, teams do not give up and it's tough."
