An 18-year-old man claims to have been assaulted before having his bicycle stolen by four men in the New Cartergate area of Grimsby.
The victim was riding his red and black Halfords Trax mountain bike in the car park of a nearby shopping centre at around 4.55pm on Friday, February 13.
He told police he was approached by three other men on bikes, and a fourth man who was riding on the handlebars of his bike.
The men stopped the lone cyclist and told him to get off his bike. When he refused, he claims he was pushed to the ground by one of the men.
He also reported being assaulted while on the floor before the fourth man took his bike.
Anyone who knows anything in connection with this incident including the current whereabouts of the stolen cycle is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference number AA/2097084.
