Two men arrested after alleged burglary at Spar supermarket in Tetney

Two men have been remanded in custody after an alleged burglary at a supermarket in Tetney.

Lincolnshire Police said at 3.55am on Thursday February 12 it was discovered that the security systems at the Spar shop on Town Road had been interfered with and sabotaged at the above premises.

Police said a 'Y' registered silver VW Golf was seen in the vicinity.

Later that same day 11.10pm, a similar VW golf was stopped in the Cleethorpes area and two men were arrested in connection with the attack on the Spar shop.

The two men, one aged 26 from Cleethorpes and one aged 27 from Grimsby remain in police custody.

Lincolnshire Police have issued an appeal for information from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident at the Spar shop.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver VW Golf in and around Tetney at the relevant time or in suspicious circumstances in Tetney or elsewhere at any other time.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police via the non-emergency 101 number or alternatively they can call Crimestopppers anonymously on 0800 555111. They are also asked to quote incident number 32 of February 12.
