MARINERS defender Aswad Thomas has been signed off by the club due to stress.
In a club statement, it was revealed the left-back had asked to have his contract terminated.
But Town have responded by allowing Thomas to take a month away from the club.
The statement read: "Further to Aswad Thomas requesting cancellation of his contract to become a free agent, the player was given seven days of leave to progress a potential move and resolve some personal issues.
"Further to this the player has been signed off for a further month due to stress.
"There will be no further comment at this time."
