A man claims he was assaulted by three men in the early hours of New Year's Eve in Grimsby.
The 20-year-old was walking along Railway Street shortly after midnight when he reports three men wearing scarves over their faces approached him from behind and assaulted him.
The men are then alleged to have left the scene running off towards Freeman Street.
The man sustained an injury to his eye during the incident, for which he received treatment at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
The three men were all described as being of average height and wearing dark clothing.
