MARINERS boss Paul Hurst wants his men to win back Lincolnshire pride this afternoon.
Grimsby Town welcome Lincoln City to Blundell Park (3pm), having lost the reverse fixture 3-2 at Sincil Bank.
And the hosts, who beat Macclesfield on Boxing Day, can use that feeling to spur them on to victory against their arch rivals.
Hurst said: "It was disappointing to lose the game, and it was the first time we had lost to our local rivals since I've been here.
"Of course it hurt, and I can't pretend it's more than three points.
"Hopefully it gives us a chance to put things right, but our main aim is to put more pressure at the top of the table."
On derby day, Hurst added: "You remind the players of the importance of it for the fans.
"But you have to go into the game focussed, being nice and relaxed.
"It's a derby so there's always the risk of a sending off.
"But you have to play the game in front of you.
"If someone gets sent off then you have to take advantage of that."
