GRIMSBY boxer Nathan French was a routine points winner against Kristian Laight at Hull City Hall.
The 24-year-old, in only his second pro outing, controlled the bout from the start and landed a 40-36 verdict.
French was cheered on by around 80 away fans as he shone across the bridge – in front of the likes of Tommy Coyle.
