A blaze broke out at a home in Waltham yesterday from a wood burning stove.
Fire fighters were called to a detached house on Laburnum Avenue at around 5.16pm.
The occupier had attempted to extinguish the fire using a damp tea towel – which then caught fire.
Fire crews used one hose reel, two breathing apparatuses, a thermal image camera and a short extension ladder to help them extinguish the blaze.
