In the courts: Grimsby woman admits receiving stolen DVD player, Mrs Brown's Boys DVDs and Easter eggs

THE following people have been sentenced by Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates: Tony Atkins, 28, of Longship Mews, Grimsby, admitted being drunk and disorderly in St James' Square on October 22. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £15 victims' surcharge. Samantha Devine, 31, of Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, admitted receiving stolen goods – including a DVD player, three Mrs Brown DVDs and four Easter eggs, on April 18 and committing further offences whilst subject to a community order imposed by Grimsby And Cleethorpes Magistrates' Court on September 9. She was also re-sentenced for her original offences of stealing chocolate to the value of £4.75 from Iceland on March 8; attempting to steal makeup to the value of £29.96 from Boots on June 27; jointly with Mark Gibson, stealing dog food to the value of £10 from Park Street Pet and Garden Shop, on April 10. She also admitted stealing chicken breasts, sliced ham and chocolates, to the value of £64.62, from McColls on October 8; committing further offences while subject to a conditional discharge imposed by Grimsby And Cleethorpes Magistrates' Court on September 8 for theft and failing to surrender to custody and stealing five Grimsby Town football shirts to the value of £124.95 on November 11. She was committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, with 12 months supervision. She was also ordered to pay an £80 victims' surcharge. Terry Gude, 41, of Freeman Street, Grimsby, admitting breaching a community order imposed by Grimsby And Cleethorpes Magistrates' on September 30, by failing to attend appointments on October 2 and 16. The order was made more onerous with a requirement to participate in one-to-one keywork sessions for four days. Michael Storey, 40, of Thesiger House, Grimsby, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on October 25 and committing further offences whilst subject to a suspended sentence order imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates Court on October 22. He was fined £100 with £85 costs and a £20 victims' surcharge, with 13 months supervision. Beverley Andrews, 40, of Convamore Road, Grimsby, complaint for committal to prison for non-payment of council tax and costs from May 21, 2005 to March 21, 2010. Ordered to pay £3,326.40 or in default serve 45 days suspended. Shaun Bracey, 48, of Cooper Lane, Grimsby, admitted driving on the A180 on September 22, 2014, without an up-to-date professional competence certificate. He was fined £165 and ordered to pay £307 costs and £20 victims' surcharge.
