A THIEF with a "horrendous" record has been jailed for five months.
Grimsby magistrates heard Jamie Forbes, 37, of St Denys Close, South Killingholme, has admitted stealing chocolates, valued at £6.78, belonging to CJ Supermarket on May 29 and failing to surrender to custody on August 4.
He also admitted being in possession of cannabis, on August 7 and breaching an Asbo by entering Asda on August 19 and September 25, 2014.
Magistrates, who said "horrendous record" meant he had to be jailed, also resentenced him for his original offences of stealing cheese valued at £10 belonging to Iceland on May 22; a Dyson cleaner, valued at £249, belonging to Asda on May 23 – thereby breaching his Asbo.
Jointly with Sarah Devine, he also stole meat, valued at £33.19, belonging to Sainsbury's on May 23, and chocolate, valued at £33.90, belonging to Co-op on May 23.
