GRIMSBY eventing star Holly Woodhead was lying in second spot after the second phase of the European Junior Riders Championships in Portugal.
At the end of the Cross Country phase Woodhead, 18, had put in a faultless round to take her right up the leaderboard - she had finished in 18th after dressage.
The final show jumping phase takes place today (Sunday).
Woodhead, from the Weelsby Riding School, was selected as part of the British squad to compete in Portugal on her father's DHI Lupison.
