Police are appealing for more information as they continue to investigate the death of Dean Greenwood, whose body was found four miles out at sea in Skegness.
The focus of the investigation has been to establish his movements from his arrival in the Ingoldmells area on Tuesday, August 12.
His body was found on August 20.
Police believe that the man, who was from Leicestershire, had entered the beach close to the Bar Rumba Public House on Roman Bank in Ingoldmells, at approximately 1am on Wednesday, August 13.
After viewing CCTV, police believe there were a number of people who may have been in the area at that time of night.
Detective Sargeant Lee St Quinton, of Skegness CID, said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of the beach, between Ingoldmells Point and Vickers Points (The Bell Inn) to the North between half past midnight and 7am that Wednesday.
"Did you meet Dean or do you recall seeing a single man walking around the beach area? Dean's mobile phone was found on a bench nearby by a man who later spoke to his family about returning it. We haven't yet traced this man so would also appeal to him to contact us."
Anyone with any information should call DS St Quinton on 101, quoting incident number 218 of August 20.
