STRICTLY Come Dancing is back – so get ready for more glitz, glamour and sequins.

The BBC show returns this weekend with the eagerly-awaited first episode set to reveal the professional and celebrity dance pairings.

The pursuit of the glitter ball hits our screens at 8pm tomorrow and you can follow it all live on our website at www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk

This time around not only will the show feature Kevin – "Kevin from Grimsby" – Clifton but also his sister Joanne Clifton.

Kevin, who has been busy getting ready for the launch show, said: "It's been really exciting already; we've been filming some more opening sequences for the show and it's all kicking into gear – it's going to be pretty full on until Christmas.

"Having made the final last year, there is more expectation on me this year, I think. People know who I am now but I still feel like the newbie sometimes."

Joining the show this year are new males dancers Trent Whiddon and Tristan McManus, who Kevin knows well.

He said: "Tristan is great fun and he'll bring tons of that to the show. Trent is a serious dancer, from Australia, and always explores different stands to dances."

He is also looking forward to competing against his sibling and welcomed her arrival on the show.

He added: "My sister is the reigning World Ballroom Showdance Champion and she comes to the show straight off the back of so much success – she has a lot of ballroom expertise."

She has competed in more than 20 countries around the world, winning numerous awards and accolades along the way – including being crowned British Champion on five occasions.

Kevin thinks this year's competition is wide open.

He added: "They're a really nice group of people. From the point of meeting them, we've all gelled really quickly.

"I just want everyone to enjoy themselves and not take things too seriously but, having said that, the talent this year is incredible and I cannot pick a winner at this point.

"At a first quick glance I imagine Pixie Lott and Caroline Flack could do well, but then also people like Scott Mills, he's already got a good following."

He also explained how the Strictly bosses are attempting to raise the bar this year with improved and complex choreography and inventive effects.

There will be a homage to outgoing host Sir Bruce Forsyth and a dance that introduces Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as the new presenting pair of the show.
