TICKETS have so far sold "really well" for Example's upcoming concert at the Grimsby Auditorium.
They've been on sale since 9am last Friday for the singer, who previously performed at the Cromwell Road venue in February 2011.
Grimsby fans even queued at the box office to secure their spot in the crowd on Sunday, October 19.
Sharon Daulton, marketing and press manager at the venue, said: "As anticipated, tickets are selling really well. On Friday morning we opened earlier than usual and there was a queue reaching out of the venue.
"Tickets are still available so don't miss out."
The London lad kicks off a 26-date UK tour from October 17 and although he is king of the arena stage, he has deliberately opted to play in more intimate venues this time around.
Recently, tens of thousands of fans flocked to the main stage for Example's incendiary set at V Festival in Chelmsford and Stafford, when he opened for US superstar Justin Timberlake, and hailed him a hero.
If that overwhelming reaction is anything to go by; his tour is certain to sell out so fans are encouraged to get the hot tickets while they're still available.
Example has revealed how he personally chose each venue, town and city he will visit.
Quite a few of the venues he has never played before but he's keen to ensure people did not have to travel too far to see him.
He was also conscious that on previous tours there were corners of Britain that missed out.
He said: "We could go back and do arenas, but I thought rather than do that, let's put the effort in and do a proper old school tour.
"I think there are about ten venues I have never played before; bearing in mind I have been touring since 2004 and have done probably 2,000 shows.
"It's going to be pretty exciting. It's all about hitting up every part of the country. There's certain people who just can't afford to travel to gigs, so it's nice they can just get the bus or walk down to the place."
Claire Williams, general manager at Grimsby Auditorium, said: "We're extremely pleased to be having Example back here in Grimsby.
"If his show is anything like the last time he was here it will be an amazing night.
"It proves the calibre of artists that the venue and town can attract and we hope to bring more in the future".
