Nine Grimsby & Cleethorpes people in court

THE following people were sentenced at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates' Court:

Liam Major, 18, of Milton Road, Grimsby, admitted possession of an offensive weapon on June 29 in Cleethorpes. He was given a 28-day curfew and ordered to pay £80 costs with a £60 victims' surcharge.

Nicholas Smith, 25, of Goring Place, Cleethorpes, was convicted of exceeding the 70mph speed limit on May 8, 2013. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £20 victims' surcharge.

Jamie Ward, 35, of Petchell Way, Grimsby, admitted possession of 2.12g of amphetamine – a Class B drug – on July 13; committing further offences while subject to a suspended sentence imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes magistrates on June 9 for two counts of burglary, theft, three counts of failing to surrender to custody and two counts of criminal damage. He was also resentenced for his original offences. He was jailed for a total of 28 weeks.

Charlotte Bellamy, 21, of Orchard Drive, Grimsby, admitted breaching a community order made by Grimsby and Cleethorpes magistrates on June 18. She was ordered to pay £65 costs and a seven-week curfew was imposed.

Janet Duffield, 53, of Sutcliffe Avenue, Nunsthorpe, admitted accruing council tax debt of £4,475.73 between April 2000 and March 2013. She was ordered to pay off the debt at a rate of £50 a month or face serving a 60-day suspended prison sentence in default.

Natasha McIntyre, 28, of Frusher Avenue, Grimsby, admitted accruing council tax debt of £4,096.96 between September 2006 and March 2014. She was ordered to pay off the debt at £50 per month.

Ashley Butler, 25, of Victor Street, Grimsby, admitted breaching a suspended sentence order imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes magistrates on April 10. He was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months and a 12-month community order, with supervision and 220 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £40 costs.

Michael Davies, 20, of Stanley Street, Grimsby, admitted breaching a suspended sentence order imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes magistrates on June 4. He was given a three-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a 12-month community order with supervision.

Paul Webster, 31, of Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, admitted breaching a community order imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes magistrates on May 2. The order was revoked and he was resentenced for his original offences of stealing a TV and blue ray player to the value of £500 from a Cleethorpes address on March 10; a TV on March 19; various food items from Tesco on September 9, 2012; and failing to surrender to custody on September 26. He was given a 12-month community order, with nine months' treatment for drug dependency.
